drawing

My most recent drawings are often ink and wash with touches of color.  Drawing to me is the closest media to the artist's hand and heart.  Sometimes the Drawing becomes the essence of what I was about at that moment and then the work becomes a finished piece.

These are not sketches.

"caryatid"

8X10"/11X14"/22X30"

$125, $175, $400

Ink and wash on canvas. From a sketch done at the Louvre of one of the 'porch maidens' as we used to call them. I love cloth folds! The Greeks truly understood the human form as architecture.

This piece is so solid, so timeless and eternal. I think my humble attempt to find its heart is in my drawing.

"epp's goat"

5X7"

$75

Ink and wash drawing. Also exists as an etching in sepia ink, hand-pulled by the artist. Only 5 left in original edition - on Arches 88. About 5X7" as an etching. $350.

This is my neighbor's goat. He only has one horn and looks like a rug with feet. He escapes often and I find him in my front yard where he gets gourmet mustang treats to help lure him back home.

"courtney&klimt"

8X10"/11X14"

$125/$175

Ink and wash drawing. Courtney thinking of Klimt. She designed this dress for Color class.
